You Give Love a Bad Name{Open To Band Members!} « Thread Started on Jul 22, 2008, 3:27pm »
Band Practice! It was simply Cali's favorite time of the year! Because it meant seeing your best friends again, and the ones that you haven't seen all summer. And, it Meant that it was time to lead a section again. A section full of mostly boys. But that was the fun part. Boys were always entertaining! They don't have much drama and they love to goof off and just have...Fun! And they were Sooo Easy to get along with!
Today however, Band was almost over. Therefore that meant it was time to hang out with best friends and that's the part she was waiting for. A chance to hang out with Vanilla, Eliza, and Deller.
"Alright you guys are done! Excellent work today guys excellent work!"
Their band director dismissed them and Cali sighed in relief as she took off her snare and then she began skipping and dancing around.

Vanilla sighed as Ms. Lambert told them they were dismissed. She sat down on the podium, and laid down for a little bit. It was stressing to have to stop in the middle of conducting, especially for the little things. If someone was off half a beat, they stopped. It was horrible how they stopped over the littlest things. She jumped off the podium, and twirled a little, happy that she didn't have to be up there for a long while. She spotted California, and ran over to her. "Hello!" she said to her friend smiling.
She was very hyper after band. It was weird, but band made her very very hyper. Her black hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and her sunglasses were placed upon her face. She smiled at her friend, the one that she had met when Cali was a freshman, and waited for her to respond.

Eliza paused to talk with the director, he said some things to her and she replied, half listening. She walked back over to her case, placing the antique flute in it's case. She pulled her brown hair out of the messy bun and let it blow down her shoulders, since it was only a practice, she wore her favorite KISS band shirt and a pleated grey skirt, it looked surprsingly good. Eliza had some of the types of clothes the popular kids wore, but she always turned them in to her own, this for instance, she had a couple of silver necklaces hanging around her neck. She walked over to Cali and Vanilla. She laughed as she watched them spin.
"You guys are crazy, you know that?"
She held the flute case in her hand, she never left it in the band room, she worried about her pretty open-holed flute. They where expensive and hers was nice, she loved it. She opened her backpack and placed it in her bag. She slung the older backpack over her shoulder and rolled her eyes over-dramatically. Before running and joining the fun, She did her cartwheel, soon realising that her brace was no longer on, as she took it off to play. She muttered a curse and stood up, pain throbbing through the wrist. Damn, it was starting to heal, she could go get a new cast later, for now the brace would work. She pulled it on over her figners and winced as it brushed the broken bone.

CALIFORNIA santa clarita MISPHASE[/color]
Check Yes Juliet are we waiting, Wishing, Wanting, Your's For the Taking.
"NILLA!!!!!" Cali Exclaimed as she ran over to her and grabbed her hands. She was VERY Hyper at the moment! She just had one of the most amazing practices and Ms. Lambert had told her in the middle when they were in sectionals that she had a good shot at making Drum Major Next year and that she was good enough to Continue Vanilla's Reputation. And she was very Hyper because of that! Because besides her best friends and Older Brother, Music was All she had.
She stopped dancing for a moment when she heard Lizzy's voice telling them that they were crazy. " I know but that's why you love us! Admit it!" She smiled at her and watched as the whole world got darker because her glasses slid down in front of her eyes. Once she re-adjusted them so they were back on top of her head, she noticed Liza wince. " What's wrong Liz?"

Eliza looked up from where she was leaning over her bag, looking for her cellphone. She had heard her name and relized that California had asked her a question. She rubbed the brace on her wrist and held her hand in her other hand. She fumbled through the contacts, she'd have to call dad... She closed the phone, she could go later, it was probably broken again anyways and Dad would make her go to the hospital right away and treat her like a baby. She sighed, her dad was a bit protective over her, because of the day they got hit by a car. Eliza's Mom died and she barely lived. Which sucked. She hardly remembered her Mom and the twin remembered nothing.
"I forgot to put my brace back on, and I landed funny, I think the bone snapped again, Crap."
She swore a couple more times under her breath. Had she told her friends why she wore the brace? She came to the school after the accident and the first year or so was fuzzy, with all the anti-depressants and anti-pain medication, than when she got all the bandages off she didn't say much. Her wrist was probably the size of a pencil bone-wise that wasn't broken, since it was completely shattered when she hit the curb when she was little. She hadn't broken it again for a couple of years or so, so the pain made her remember the pain she had happened before, she had broken it many times while it was healing and so far, the healing was slow enough. Damnit. She didn't want to wear another cast.

Adeline, who had carefully been putting away her baritone saxophone, was a short distance away from the other girls. She was close enough to hear Eliza McLaughlin say something about re-snapping a bone. Since Adeline had spent the last two years helping the school trainer to assess injuries from the sports teams, the girl felt the need to help.
Although she did feel bad for sort of listening in (though she wasn't really, she had just overheard Eliza's last few words) Adeline spoke up. "You know, I could probably tell you if you did or not, and how soon you'd need to get it checked out." She didn't look up as she spoke, she just turned herself so they could hear her while she put her reed away and cleaned out her mouthpiece. She didn't know the severity of the supposed break, but she was awfully curious, that she knew of.
